Harrison hopes to play vs. Chargers

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Marvin HarrisonIt is without question that the Indianapolis Colts missed the presence of wide receiver Marvin Harrison last Sunday against the New England Patriots.  But according to Harrison, he feels he is ready to play against the San Diego Chargers next Sunday.  Colts head coach Tony Dungy told Jerry Magee of the San Diego Union-Tribune, “Marvin thinks he can go.”

Dungy further explained that in looking ahead to the San Diego game, the Colts main consideration was to not put Harrison in a situation which could result in him not playing for a prolonged period of time.  As previously stated, Harrison is important to the fortunes of the Colts as with him in the lineup, the Colts are a totally different team than the one you saw last Sunday vs. the Patriots.
