Freeney Done for the Year; Placed on IR

The season is officially over for Colts DE Dwight Freeney, as on Wednesday the team placed him on IR, three days after he hurt his left foot in a 23-21 loss to the Chargers in San Diego.  The three-time Pro Bowler was diagnosed with a Lis Franc injury that might require surgery.  The team quickly moved Tuesday to try and find someone to take his place, and they signed Simeon Rice, who was let go by the Broncos last week when they cut four players.  The loss of Freeney is going to hurt the Colts in a big way, and it continues a distrubing stretch of injured players that have missed important games already this season.
