Broken Roof Drains Allow Rainwater into New Colts Stadium
Posted by Matt Loede on July 10th, 2008 in News
While the new Lucas Oil Stadium has yet to open, there are already issues as the Indy Star is reporting that broken roof drains channeled rainwater into the stadium. Officials say that the rainwater will not stop the new stadium from opening on time. Reports say that 2 to 3 feet of water poured into the small data room, damaging equipment which provides phone and Internet services in the building. They have yet to determine what caused three of the 20 major roof drains in the stadium to fail. It was only about 30 minutes after the storm ended Tuesday night that crews were working in the stadium.
