Dungy Says Manning’s Knee Will Be Fine for Season Opener

Tony Dungy is putting to rest any concern about the knee of franchise QB Peyton Manning, saying that the QB will be ready to go opening day vs the Bears at new Lucas Oil Stadium. Dungy even went so far to say that Manning very well may take some snaps during the preseason. Manning had knee surgery last week to remove an infected bursa sac, a surgery that usually takes about six weeks to heal. Manning will probably talk to the media about the knee and when he will be back on the field for the team. He has never missed a regular season game, starting 160 regular season games over his 10 year career.
