Colts defensive tackle Ed Johnson is gone as the result of an arrest early Wednesday morning. Johnson was pulled over in his vehicle after midnight for allegedly speeding. The second year player was also found in possession of marijuana, according to police. Johnson was allegedly caught driving 72 miles an hour in a 55 zone.
He started the season opener last Sunday after posting 63 tackles and one sack in his rookie season. At first head coach Tony Dungy says Johnson would miss Sunday’s game vs the Vikings for his alleged actions, but today’s Indy Star says the team is going to cut ties with him and release him later today.
