What Does the Future Hold for Harrison?

From: NFL Fan House

Earlier today, Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk laid out the Colts’ options in regards to surefire Hall-of-Famer Marvin Harrison. The basic gist of the situation is that either Harrison is going to be paid a ton more than he’s worth to play for the Colts in 2009, or the Colts can cut him and save $7 million in cap space. This is a big deal because the Colts are scheduled to be significantly over the salary cap as it stands.

It looks like Harrison is nearing the end of his sparkling career. He didn’t get any looks in the Chargers game. As I noticed when I saw the game video closely, he just couldn’t get open or create chances. He seemed tired and the secondary, safety and corners were able to read his routs pretty clearly and react to them. I think its time for him to sincerely review and think about his future. I am not saying that he should call it quits but its time for something to change, its time for Marvin to change himself or let the Colts know how he can be a valuable asset. Its better to burn out than to fade away…
