QB Manning Focused and Ready as Camp Starts

The Colts are set to kickoff training camp Monday, and one player that is happy to be back and ready to go is QB Peyton Manning.

“I’ve always believed that training camp is when you form the foundation of your team and truly iron out the little details that you’re going to need to be on the same page as you go into the season. I definitely think it had an effect on the way I started the season last year, so I’m looking forward to going through the entire camp hopefully healthy this year, and hopefully we can get off to a faster start.”

Manning wants his club to be ready to go, and is hoping that a good camp will equal a fast start to the Colts 2009 season.

“I feel good. I feel recharged. I talked to a number of guys on the way up here and everybody is ready to go,” he said. “That’s what you want going into the season.”

Sounds like the words of a focused leader ready to lead his team once again.
