The Indy Star says that it looks promising for the Colts to extend Peyton Manning’s Deal:
The Colts intend to keep Peyton Manning. “Our clear intention is to have Peyton finish his career here,” Colts president Bill Polian said Wednesday night. “There is no other thought. At the appropriate time, we’ll sit down and talk about it.” At the latest, that would be shortly after the end of the 2010 season, when Manning’s contract expires. It’s conceivable Polian and Tom Condon, Manning’s agent, will iron out something prior to that. “I wouldn’t put any time frame on it because it’s such a muddled picture (in the NFL) with respect to labor,” Polian said. “Tom and I discuss any number of things relatively often, and when the time’s right, we’ll do it.”
