Sanders Takes the Practice Field

The Colts got a great piece of news on Wednesday, as safety Bob Sanders took the practice field on Wednesday:

Safety Bob Sanders took at least a small step Wednesday toward his much-anticipated return to the Indianapolis Colts lineup: He crossed the sideline and got on the football field. The 2007 NFL Defensive Player of the Year didn’t participate in all drills but was on the field for a full-scale practice for the first time this season as the Colts began preparations for a nationally televised game Sunday night at Tennessee. Jim Caldwell characterized Sanders’ limited participation as “ramping up his activity,” but the Colts coach declined to say if Sanders might play Sunday.
