We’ve heard the news that the Redskins-Eagles trade would’ve been McNabb for Haynesworth but it was instead No. 5 for a couple of draft picks. Could this be a chance for the Colts to make a move? Since Raheem Brock is gone, the Colts could use someone on the defensive line. They need a defensive tackle. I haven’t seen much for Fili Moala or any others. Antonio Johnosn and Daniel Muir stepped up.
But bringing in Albert Haynesworth would just be amazing. It could work. He would be coming back to the AFC South and be killing his old Titans team…twice a year. The Colts could offer a couple of draft picks maybe or a player like Johnson or Muir. Or they could make a package with a draft pick and a player. If the Colts have a chance, they should go for it.
Haynesworth would fit better if he went back to the 4-3 scheme. And imagine how dangerous that combo would be with Haynesworth, Muir or Johnson, Freeney, and Mathis on the front defensive line? Oh God! A nightmare. Though Haynesworth struggled last year, I could see him improving. It’s just one bad year.
This guy could go back to his old good ways with the Colts. More sacks. They could get him.
But the question is, do they want him?
Probably not.
