One Team, 19 Free Agents

At some point in the next few months, the Indianapolis Colts owner expects to make his veteran quarterback the highest-paid player in NFL history. The contract — perhaps in the five-year, $100 million neighborhood — will almost certainly ensure Manning, the league’s only four-time MVP, finishes his career where it began.

But Manning is only one of 19 Colts whose contracts expire after the upcoming season. And that is the crux of another commitment guiding Irsay.
