Sanders Slow on Rehab; Saturday’s Thoughts After Football

Here’s two interesting things I read from Michael Lombardi’s column at NFL.com. One was about Jeff Saturday:

I loved spending time with Jeff Saturday of the Colts this past week during “Total Access.” He was the star of the Broadcasting Bootcamp and I can see why. He has a love of football and wants to become a broadcaster when his career is over. And I bet he will be a good one.

Then there was a sad thing I read about Bob Sanders:

There is some concern Colts safety Bob Sanders might never be able to play football again, with his shoulder and bicep issues. He reduced his contract, but his rehab has been slow.

But it’s weird, because according to several sources, such as ProFootballWeekly.com, Bob Sanders is having the best spring of his career and is working fine.

“He feels good about where he is physically, and when he feels good about himself physically, obviously he can relax and play the game the way he knows how,” Jim Caldwell said of Sanders. “All of us realize when he cuts it loose, some big things are bound to happen.”

This surely brings up conflict.
