Defensive back Jamie Silva suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in Sunday’s preseason game vs. San Francisco and will be out for the remainder of the season, the club announced Monday. Silva, a third-year veteran, appeared in 25 games the past two seasons, totaling 22 defensive tackles and 27 special teams stops. Silva’s 15 special teams tackles in 2009 ranked second-most on the team.
