Colts Cut Players, Assign 5 To Practice Squad

According to the National Football Post, here are the players that got cut by the Indianapolis Colts so the team could trim their roster down to 53 players:

The Indianapolis Colts got down to the NFL roster limit of 53 players, cutting quarterback Tom Brandstater.

They also cut the following players: defensive end Ervin Baldwin, defensive end John Chick, tight end Colin Cloherty, defensive tackle Marlon Favorite, defensive back Ray Fisher, wide receiver Sam Giguere, defensive back Danny Gorrer, defensive back Ashton Hall, wide receiver Brandon James, running back Javarris James, defensive back Terrail Lambert, offensive tackle Chris Marinelli, center Adrian Martinez, defensive back Mike Newton, running back Allen Patrick, defensive back Glenn Sharpe, defensive back Terrell Skinner, wide receiver Taj Smith, offensive tackle Adam Terry, linebacker Vuna Tuihalamaka, wide receiver Blair White and offensive tackle James Williams.

The Colts also traded an undisclosed future draft choice to Washington for defensive back Justin Tryon.

Tryon (5-9, 185) originally was a 2008 fourth-round draft choice of Washington out of Arizona State. Tryon played in 29 career games with Washington with one start.

He had 27 tackles, 22 solo, one sack, one interception and three passes defensed in 15 games in 2009. He appeared in 14 games and had four tackles in 2008.

Five got moved to the practice squad. These players are Tom Brandstater, John Chick, Brandon James, Mike Newton, and Blair White.
