Colts O-Line Plans?

Tim Kanavagh of ESPN NFL Rumors wrote the following of the Indianapolis Colts’ offensive line:

Amongst the Indianapolis Colts‘ needs this offseason is a bolstering of the offensive line. Collin McCollough of Colts blog Stampede Blue writes that the team’s situation at tackle in 2010 “was spotty at best,” and notes that their most valuable player at the bookends, Charles Johnson, was playing through injuries all season, and is a better solution at right tackle.

In summation of what he believes the Colts should do, McCollough writes that the team needs to acquire a starting left tackle, as well as an interior lineman to plug in at right guard, while moving Johnson to the right side.

Amongst the veterans possibly available, Jared Gaither sticks out as an attractive target. His relationship with the Baltimore Ravens seems to be coming to a close, and he is capable of holding down that LT spot. As for the rising rookies, both Mel Kiper, Jr. and Todd McShay had the Colts taking Boston College’s Anthony Castonzo with the No. 22 pick.
