Colts Interested in Drafting TCU QB Andy Dalton?

Yahoo Sports reports that QB Andy Dalton is on the Colts radar, and the team may look to take him in the 2011 NFL Draft to be the teams backup, a position they want to upgrade.

Technically, the Indianapolis Colts currently have only one quarterback under contract for next season, FOXSports.com reports, and it’s not 35-year-old Peyton Manning. The site notes that it is Curtis Painter, who was picked in the sixth round of the 2009 draft.

FOX Sports reports that the Colts may be looking to upgrade on Painter with the upcoming draft. One workout that the team has scheduled is with Andy Dalton, the quarterback for the Rose Bowl-winning Texas Christian University Horned Frogs.

The 23-year-old Dalton, of course, was the Offensive MVP of the 2011 Rose Bowl as well as the Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Year for the past two seasons.
