Breakdown of the Third Day of the Draft for the Colts

NFL.com breaks down day three for the Colts, and gives their take on some background on the players the team picked.

Round 4, Pick 22 (119) Delone Carter RB 5’9″ 222 Syracuse 5.2

Pick Analysis: Bill Polian continues to beef up the competition at the running back position with the selection of Carter. He gives them a rugged runner with strength and power to pick up tough yards between the tackles. With the Colts’ running game ranking as a major disappointment over the past few years, Carter could become the workhorse to lift the unit out of the doldrums.

Round 6, Pick 23 (188) Chris Rucker DB 6’1″ 195 Michigan St. 4.1

Pick Analysis: Rucker is tall and has good speed to play corner, but he will need to work hard to polish his game in order to make the roster.
