Is Moore Gone or Not?

While it is assumed Tom Moore won’t be back with the Colts in 2011, there’s still some doubt as his name has not been “officially” taken off the list of coaches from within the club.

Tom Moore’s name has been removed from the list of coaches on the Indianapolis Colts’ website, but no one is willing to make the move official just yet.

Moore had no comment Monday evening when reached regarding his status with the Colts. “Nothing. Not at this time,” said Moore, the Colts’ offensive coordinator and a mentor to quarterback Peyton Manning from 1998 through 2009.

The team had no comment.

Moore coordinated an offense that ranked among the NFL’s most prolific from 1999 through 2009 and helped the club win at least 12 games every season from 2003-09, but he was designated senior offensive assistant before last season. Clyde Christensen was promoted to offensive coordinator.
