Colts Owner Confirms Staff Changes

Colts owner Jim Irsay confirmed several coaching and personnel department changes, Phil Richards and Mike Chappell of the Indianapolis Star report.

Tom Moore, who served as the team’s offensive coordinator from 1998-2009 before spending last season as an offensive assistant, will retire, as will longtime director of player personnel Clyde Powers.

“Clyde’s probably going to retire; we’ll see,” Irsay said during the league’s Spring Meetings in Indianapolis. “He might want to do some work for the league office. He’s got a place out in South Carolina. He and I talked, and (VP/GM) Chris Polian talked with him.”

Powers has been with the Colts franchise since 1980.

Video director Marty Hecksher has also retired after 31 years with the club.
