Manning’s Neck Among the Question Marks in the AFC South Concerning QB’s

2. Texans – Is Matt Schaub’s Injury History Finally Behind He and the Texans?

Schaub was recently named the league’s MOST injury prone player on Fox Sports. “Let’s face it, he’s a likable guy. He doesn’t pop off at the mouth and he has tons of talent. Plus, men with a receding hairline always cut a sympathetic figure. But, he’s gotta stay on the field,” writer Sid Saraf said in a piece on the site. “In 2007 he missed five games (concussion, separated shoulder) and another five in 2008 while dealing with knee problems. In his one complete campaign in 2009 he made the Pro Bowl. Coincidence?”

The QB has been healthy for 36 straight starts, and while the team needs him if they are ever going to reach the next level, the O-line has to do their best to make sure to keep him on the field. Without Schaub, the Texans are nowhere near as good on offense, and therefore having him on the field is a huge concern.
