2010 Look Back – Colts Cruise to 2-1 After Topping Broncos 27-13

Today in our 2010 look back, the Colts get to 2-1 on the year as they take to the road to top Josh McDaniels and the Denver Broncos 27-13.

The Indianapolis Colts rolled over the Denver Broncos in a horse vs. horse match-up. The baby Colt beat the tough, ferocious Bronco in a 27-13 victory. Peyton Manning played without Anthony Gonzalez and Pierre Garcon, but was able to make it through as the Colts managed to cruise towards a 2-1 record.

The Denver Broncos played with high hearts, due to the loss of teammate Kevin McKinley, who died of a self-inflicted gun shot. With a No. 11 stick patched on to the back of their helmet, the Broncos played strong and were able to make the most of it in this game. They came within a 13-10 deficit.

What really ruined the Broncos, however, was a fourth down and three play. They were in the red zone and could have easily made a field goal and be down 20-16 with about eight minutes to go along with one, maybe even two, shots to come back and win the game. But no, they went for it. And the pass was way off.
