Peyton Trails Only Brady in the Best NFL Players of 2011

As expected, Peyton Manning was second to Tom Brady in a vote by NFL players for the best player of 2011, a two and a half month TV series that wrapped up Sunday night on the NFL Network.

Manning, coming off a season in which he threw for 4700 yards, 33 touchdowns and 17 picks, has just one Super Bowl title compared to Brady’s three, and also watched while Brady led New England to a 14-2 mark last season while the Colts were 10-6. Both teams lost to the Jets in the postseason.

Dwight Freeney, Robert Mathis, Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark all were fellow Colts players to make the Top 100 Players of 2011 List.
