What Are You Eating as Part of Your Diet?

From: Yahoo Sports

Defensive end Dwight Freeney and his trainer Ryan Capretta break down the diet and nutritional needs of what it takes to become an elite athlete.

After a long day of working out, your body needs to replenish the proper nutrients and protein to keep operating at the optimal level.

The 31-year-old Freeney relies on the Sari Mellman diet to help “reengineer” his body. With a focus on how white blood cells react to certain foods and enzymes, the program identifies the perfect proteins and carbs to fit your DNA makeup.

Freeney loves buffalo bison steaks as a source of lean protein and for helping make his body lean. The four-time Pro Bowler eats 3-4 times a day and doesn’t count calories with this diet.
