Colts CB Jerraud Powers out for season

Indianapolis Colts cornerback Jerraud Powers will miss the final four games of the season after dislocating his left elbow during Sunday’s 31-24 loss to the New England Patriots, Mike Chappell of the Indianapolis Star reports.

A 2009 third-round pick out of Auburn, Powers has started all 34 games he’s been active during his brief NFL career, totaling 170 tackles and five interceptions. Powers missed the final six games of 2010 after undergoing surgery to repair a broken right forearm.

The 5-foot-10, 192-pound Powers turns 25 next July and is signed through the 2012 season.
