Colts place rookie DT Drake Nevis on IR

The Indianapolis Colts have placed rookie defensive tackle Drake Nevis on injured reserve, Colts owner Jim Irsay tweeted.

A third-round pick out of LSU in last April’s draft, the 6-foot-1, 294-pound Nevis had 19 tackles and a pass defensed in five games this season. Limited by a back injury, Nevis had appeared in just one game over the last two months.

The former Tiger standout is the third Colts player to be placed on injured reserve this week, joining defensive backs Jerraud Powers and Terrence Johnson.

Roster move: Indianapolis also re-signed offensive lineman Mike Tepper to the practice squad.
