The Colts have added another name to the mix for the head coaching interviews, as the tam has requested permission to interview Saints offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael.
Carmichael has been the Saints offensive coordinator for the last three seasons and assumed play-calling duties in the middle of the season after head coach/play-caller Sean Payton suffered a left knee injury that relegated him to the coaches booth.
The 40-year-old native of Framingham, Massachusetts and Boston College alum has been with the Saints since 2006. Prior to New Orleans, Carmichael coached with the Cleveland Browns (2000), Washington Redskins (2001) and was with the San Diego Chargers from 2002-05.
In addition to Carmichael, the Colts have received permission to interview Titans defensive coordinator Jerry Gray.
