Colts Acquire CB Vontae Davis From Miami for Second-Round Pick

Owner Jim Irsay has been teasing the past few days that the Colts have been working on some big trade or trades that would change the look of the team.

Sunday, it looks like at least one of those deals has come true.

Reports from Jay Glazer at FOX state that the Colts have acquired former Dolphins first round pick, CB Vontae Davis, for a 2013 second-round pick.

Davis, who is 24, didn’t make any friends with the new Dolphins coaching staff when during a feature on HBO’s “Hard Knocks” he complained how tired he was.

The CB was the 25th overall pick of the Dolphins in the 2009 NFL Draft. He has two seasons remaining on his rookie contract. Davis will earn $957,500 in base salary in 2012 and is currently scheduled to make $1,136,250 in base salary with a $50,000 workout bonus in 2013.
