A couple Andrew Luck rushing touchdowns and a couple late defensive stances were enough for the Colts Sunday, as they topped the Browns 17-13 at Lucas Oil Stadium to move to 3-3 on the season.
Luck ran in touchdowns from 3 and 5 yards out in the first half, as the Colts built a 14-6 halftime lead. Cleveland drew it to 14-13 after a Brandon Weeden touchdown throw to Josh Gordon, but the Colts got a field goal from Adam Vinatieri to make it 17-13.
The Colts defense did enough, even after Luck fumbled at midfield with 7:25 that was recovered by Sheldon Brown. Cleveland got to 4th and 1 at the Colts 29, but instead of going for it, they elected to punt.
After a punt, Cleveland got to the Colts 39, and on 4th and 6 a pass play to Josh Cooper fell incomplete, and the final shot for the Browns did as well as the Colts took the clock down to one second.
Luck went 16-for-29 for 186 with a QB rating of 74.8. Weeden for the Browns threw two scores, and ended the day 25-for-41 for 256 with a QB rating of 95.2.
Vick Ballard ran for 84 yards on 20 carries for the Colts, with a huge first down after the Browns were unable to covert on the 4th and 6 which helped get the clock to one second remaining.
With the loss Cleveland falls to 1-6.
Indy next week will be at Tennessee to take on the Titans.
