Colts Ink TE Chase Coffman Following Injury to Dwayne Allen

On Tuesday morning, the Colts signed veteran tight end Chase Coffman, Kevin Bowen of reports.

The move to bring Coffman onboard comes after the Colts were awaiting MRI results for Dwayne Allen ’s injured right ankle.

Allen suffered the injury on the fifth snap of Sunday’s loss to Houston. While engaging former No. 1 overall pick Jadeveon Clowney, Allen was rolled up on at the bottom of a pile. has reported that Allen is “week-to-week” and will likely miss some time.

On Sunday night, the Colts relied on Jack Doyle and Erik Swoope to make up for Allen’s loss.
