The Colts sound like they could be buyers on the trade deadline, with one possible player the team is looking into is Redskins linebacker Ryan Kerrigan.
Washington Post sports writer Jake Russell reports that the Skins are lining up suitors for Kerrigan, with the big two being the Indianapolis Colts and the Baltimore Ravens.
Here’s the tweet from Russell about the rumors around Kerrigan.
“Several teams have real interest in Washington linebacker Ryan Kerrigan as well (Baltimore and Indianapolis among them) but are not getting the sense Washington is looking to move the team leader despite facing what could be a long roster rebuild ahead.”
In his first 136 starts in the NFL, the veteran edge-rusher has totaled 86.5 sacks, 112 tackles for loss, 25 forced fumbles, and three interceptions.
The big question will be what will the Colts have to give up if they indeed go after the outside linebacker, and can they get it done before the day is out?
