Who is the Front Runner To Be The Colts Starting QB Opening Day 2021?

The Colts were dealt a tough blow on Wednesday when veteran quarterback Philip Rivers announced after 17 seasons he was walking away, announcing his retirement.

While it was never a given that the team was going to bring back Rivers, coach Frank Reich said that the club wanted him back after they fell in the AFC Wild Card game to the Bills in Buffalo.

Now though the Colts are on a search for a new quarterback, and odds as it stands state that free agent QB Jacoby Brissett is the front-runner to start opening day for the Colts.

Here’s a look at the current odds thanks to Sports Dime Betting on who will be the opening day starter for Indy in 2021.

If the team wanted number two on the list, Carson Wentz, they would have to make a trade with the Eagles.

Andy Dalton is an interesting choice, same with Matt Stafford, who again would have to come to the Colts via trade from the Lions.

It should be an interesting offseason no matter for the Colts, who also have to figure out if the team is going to bring back some big name free agents including Marlon Mack, Justin Houston and T.Y. Hilton.
