Another week, another loss for the Colts.
With Andrew Luck looking on somewhere in America, the Colts dropped their 11th game of the season, getting just a bit closer to the first overall pick. Carolina topped the Colts 27-19 at Lucas Oil Stadium.
First overall pick Cam Newton was 20-for-27 for 208 yards for the Panthers, and he ran in a TD for the Cats. The Colts went back to Curtis Painter, and he was 15-for-29 for 226 yards with a TD and two picks.
The Colts got within 24-19 with 8:16 to go when Painter hit Reggie Wayne down the middle with a 56-yard touchdown. The Colts went for two and missed it.
Carolina made it an eight point game when Olindo Mare kicked a 41-yard field goal with 5:56 left. The Colts had a late shot, but Painter threw a pick on 2nd and three from the Panthers three with :35 seconds left to seal the win for the Cats.
The Panthers had the ball for 36:17 to just 23:43 for the Colts, and they ran for 201 yards in the win, putting up 5.7 yards per carry.
The Colts next week will travel to play Tom Brady and the Pats.
